Bacau International Airport
On April 1, 1946, the Bacau airport was opened to the public. It carries passengers and cargoes out of Bacau to the different parts of the world. The airport has a runway with 2500 meters length and it has a width of 80 meters. Bacau Airport is the largest in northeastern Romania. In 1975, it was formally declared as an International Airport.
Bacău Airport has an annual traffic of 32,000 passengers since it accomodates travellers from different nearby communities like those from Brasov, Iasi, Focsani, Galati, Piatra Neamt, Suceava and Vaslui. Bacau airport is very accessible to all types of vehicles. There are taxis, public buses and airport shuttles that bring passengers from Bacau to the airport. These transportations are found outside the airport terminal for easier access.

There are restaurants and snack bars that offer wide variety of food. There are also several medical facilities such as first aid area, which offers immediate assistance to sick travelers. Other facilities like banks and hotels are not available from the airport terminal but there are arrays of choices from the city.
