Avignon - Caumont Airport
As the name implies, Avignon-Caumont Airport is basically serving the public of Avignon and Caumont area. This airport is situated within the Montfavet, a village which is northwest Caumont-sur-Durance and about 8 kilometers southeast Avignon. It is operated by CCI d'Avignon et de Vaucluse.
At present, there are three airlines that are offer cheap flights going to and from Avignon. These airlines that are currently serving the people are Air France, Jet2.com and Flybe. The destinations are Exeter, Edinburg, Leeds Bradford, Southampton and Paris Orly.
Transportation and Facilities
Traveling from Avignon airport is very convenient. There are several bars and restaurants found on the left side upon entering the terminal. Near these, you will find the baggage claim area. This is from your right if you are coming from a flight. When you need to inquire information related to your flights, you can check the Tourist Information area found at the lobby of the hotel.
While waiting for your flights, you can stay at the waiting area which is opposite the baggage claim. There are about 20 seats and several vendo machines too. If you prefer to rent a car, you can check them out inside the terminal. These are found across the baggage claim area.
With regards to transportation, a taxi stand is found outside the terminal. This is located in front of the terminal. Car hire is also available. Their desks are found within the airport area, adjacent to the baggage claim. Car park is likewise available. It is a paid parking for both short term and long term parking.
