Fertilia Airport
Alghero Airport is also popularly known as Fertilia Airport. Together with Olbia and Cagliari, it also serves Sardinia province by welcoming visitors and passengers. Fertilia Airport is about 5 kilometres north of Alghero city in Sardinia Italy. It was initially a military airport but through the years, it was developed and transformed to be the first air terminal in the area.

It is currently being operated by Societa di Gestione Aeroporto Di Alghero (SOGEAAL). Several airlines like Air One, Ryanair, TUIfly Nordic, Air Dolomiti and Volareweb transport passengers from different parts of the country to Alghero Airport. There are about 63 flights leaving the airport for short-distance destinations with more than 11,000 travelers moving out weekly.

Transport and Facilities
Taxis and buses are available from the airport going to the Piazza della Mercede. There are also several hired cars that you can avail within the airport area. Aside from these, there are also other facilities like information booth and tourist help desk for immediate concerns that you need to have answers to. There are likewise bank and ATM machines where you could withdraw cash. If you like to convert your money to the local currency, there is a currency exchange bureau for that as well.

Bar, restaurant and café is located within the airport area. There are shopping establishments and Duty Free Port that offer local products and handicrafts, for last minute shopping.
