Şakirpaşa Airport
AdanaAdana Airport is also known as Adana Sakirpasa Airport. It is situated within Adana province in Turkey. It was initially used as a civil-military airport but in 1956, it was transformed into a civil airport. Weekly, there are about 20,000 passengers, 70 medium sized aircraft and about 15 nonstop flights that depart from this airport. As a whole, Adana Airport serves to connect about 15 cities nonstop.

Transportation and Facilities
Adana Sakirpasa Airport has two terminals; one is for domestic flights while the other one is for international flights. Within the area are Duty Free shop and other shopping stalls. You can avail of local products from these stalls. In addition, there is a lounge where passengers can relax while waiting for their flights. There is a non-smoking area and smoking area depending on the preference of the travelers. There are also several restaurants and food selling stores in the area.

Aside from these, there are also several transportation facilities booth that caters for the travelers. There are rent a cars, coached buses, etc being offered. For those who wanted to avail of the local service shuttles and buses can also do so. The fare going to the city through the shuttle service is about $2USD while the taxi fare is around $25USD.

About Adana Tourism
Adana is the capital of Adana Province. It has two districts, Seyhan and Yuregir. It has a small area of about 1,945 square kilometers and a population of about 1.5 million. It is considered as the fifth most populated city in Turkey.

Adana is a place for sun-worshippers. It has beautiful beaches like Yumurtalik and Karatas but it is more popular for the number of mosques within the city. It houses the 16th century Great Mosque, Eski Mosque and Hasan Aga Mosque. This is also where the Ethnographical Museum which exhibits the swords, tombstones, Turkish carpets and manuscript books. Aside from this, the Adana Archeological Museum is also worth visiting.
